Level 9 (Blinds 100/500/1,000)
Total Entries: 270
With the end of the first color up break, the players are back and the field has been frozen at 270 players, who have built a prize fund of close to $32,000, which is over double the original guarantee.
The top stacks and notables in the room are:
Tyler Rohdey – 155,000
Dan McGinn – 140,000
Danko Campese – 130,000
Bill Munyon – 120,000
Anh Dang – 110,000
Lukas Picking – 90,000
Gary Kitner – 85,000
Tim Rausenberger – 80,000
Amir Genzel – 65,000
Luis De La Cruz – 40,000
Grace Sun – 35,000
Level 8 (BLINDS 75/400/800)
Total Entries: 250

Tyler Rohdey (Freeport, NY)
The action was picked up as one of the bigger stacks in the room was involved in a hand with an unknown player.
Tyler Rohdey (Freeport, NY) had led out on a board of {2h}{8s}{5h}{7s}. His opponent moved all-in and Rohdey called, turning over {5x}{5x} for a flopped set. His opponent held {6c}{6s} for a open ended straight draw.
The {Jd} bricked on the river and Rohdey is now sitting at just over 150,000, and is one of the bigger stacks in the room as the players move towards the end of Level 8 and their first color up break of the day.
Late registration/re-entry is also over at the end of the break.
Level 7 (BLINDS 75/300/600)
Total Entries: 237
With two levels left to late register and re-enter, the Event 1 guarantee of $15,000 has nearly been doubled, as there is currently $28,000 in the prize fund.
The chip average is just under 35,000 and there are a few players in the room who have nearly double that amount.
Danko Campese – 125,000
Dan McGinn – 115,000
Tyler Rohdey – 95,000
Gary Kitner – 90,000
Amir Genzel – 75,000
Level 4 (Blinds 100/200)
Total Entries: 182
With 182 runners (and nearly four more levels to late register/re-enter) the $15,000 Guarantee has already been crushed with just over $22,000 in the prize fund already.
Players have also been announcing their arrivals on twitter, something everyone can do by tagging @BorgataPoker or using the hashtag #DeepStackChallenge.

Level 3 (Blinds 75/150)
Total Entries: 152

Luis De La Cruz
As players enter Level 3, there are some familiar faces in Event 1 that made some decent runs during the Summer Poker Open and are back for some Deep Stacks Challenge action.
Borgata regulars Amir Genzel and Perry Kaplan are both in the field, as is Andrew Zhu. Ed Kinney, who finished in 12th place in SPO Event 6 for $3,026, is also running in Event 1.
But, perhaps the most recognizable face, or voice, is that of Luis De La Cruz, who took down Event 13, good for a $15,711 pay day.
Luis, who’s been quiet through the early portions of this tournament, was one of the most charismatic and energetic players during the Summer Poker Open. Luis was never afraid to celebrate taking down a pot and was frequently seen high fiving anyone within distance, but Luis backs all that up with his winning play, and his newly won BSPO trophy. He’s hoping to make another deep run today.

There is no slowing down in the Borgata Poker Room as the The Deep Stacks Challenge is back and better then ever before. Coming off an extremely successful and exciting Borgata Summer Poker Open, The Deep Stacks Challenge, which debuted in May, is back both live and online.
This Deep Stacks Challenge will be the first of its kind as Borgata will be incorporating both land based and online poker play into one, action-packed tournament series. The first six events will be run in the Poker Room, while the final eight events will be played on BorgataPoker.com, with all events sporting a juicy guarantee.
Borgata will also be running a leaderboard promotion between Borgata Poker Room events and BorgataPoker.com events. Players will earn points for each tournament they play in, and will earn additional points for cashing in each event. The top ten places in the final Deep Stacks Leaderboard Challenge will be awarded prizes, which include an entry into the Borgata Poker Open Championship, an entry into the PocketFives tournament in July, gift cards, overnight stays at the hotel and more.
It should be another action packed week in the Borgata Poker Room, and live coverage starts now as Event 1 – $125 + $25 Deep Stack NLH $15,000 Guaranteed will begin shortly.
